As most people know by now, Obama has recently tried to expand the Presidential powers. I, with my extremely unpopular views, think the government needs to have less of a role, and not give too much power to one person. The president is already a very powerful person, especially when he is as popular as Obama is - he is extremely influential.
This nation was founded by men who were tired of a king. they decided they didn’t want any one man to have too much power. This is where the checks and balances system originated, the system which is becoming less and less important with every administration.
I am personally outraged at how Obama’s administration is trying to expand their powers. They already are some of the most pwerful men (and women) in the world.
